Job Opportunities at The Banks

Overview of Opportunity

Development of The Banks is expected to span a 10-year period. As a result, there will be a variety of opportunities for many types of business and individuals to be a part of this project. From supplying construction services and commodities to providing professional services, there will be numerous opportunities for the area’s workforce to get involved in making the Banks a world-class destination.

As opportunities become available, an appropriate bidding process will commence. Construction for the private overbuild portion of the project is expected to commence in late Spring of 2009. Please check this site periodically for additional information on submitting for any of the new bid packages for Phase 1A.

If you are interested in receiving more information on public bid opportunities on the public infrastructure development phase of this project, which includes streets, garages, and utilities, please contact: Matt Polland, Messer, (513) 242-1541; MPoland@messer.com or Gene Ellington, Ellington Management, (513)554-4012, gene@ellingtonmanagement.com

Inclusion at The Banks

The Carter Dawson team, along with the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, are committed to inclusion on this project. As such, under joint policy for small business enterprise, economic inclusion and workforce development, we have established the following SBE, WBE and MBE goals:

  • 30% for Construction
  • 15% for Commodities and General Services
  • 10% for Professional Services

The City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County are pleased to report that through the first four bid packages for public infrastructure work, the team is tracking at 34% Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation to date (4% over the 30% SBE goal).

If you are an interested SBE, DBE and WBE firm, we recommend commencing the relevant certification processes as soon as possible. Information regarding the certification process is available through a number of resources including: the City of Cincinnati (www.cincinnati-oh.gov) and Hamilton County (www.hamilton-co.org).
